Buyer FAQ

The five questions we hear most.

Five questions buyers ask before checkout: format, refunds, device support, instant access, and subscription versus one-time.

Frequently asked

What format is the guide — digital or print?

One canonical US-letter PDF per build, hyperlinked cross-references inside the file so a judging-prep chapter jumps to the trim-tag decode in one click. There is no print edition — the document is built for desktop reading or a tablet in the garage, and the file is yours the moment your payment clears.

What is the refund policy?

RestorationEssentials does not offer refunds on completed orders. Each PDF is fetched and delivered as the period-correct record itself, so the editorial-accuracy commitment is the corresponding guarantee: every figure is sourced from Pontiac Historic Services invoices, GM build sheets, Galen Govier decoding, partial-VIN stamping, Tri-Shield trees and model-year databases, and if a sourced fact materially mis-registers on your chassis the correction lands in the next revision.

Which devices can I read it on?

Anywhere a PDF opens — desktop browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge), iPhone or iPad in iBooks / Files, Android tablet in any reader, or printed on US-letter paper. The layout is sized for desktop reading or a tablet in the garage, with hyperlinked cross-references that stay one tap away on touch.

Do I get it instantly?

Yes. Delivery is electronic and instant on completion of checkout — no email attachment, no waiting on a build queue. The link lives on the guide detail page the moment your payment clears, and the same file is the one you keep.

Subscription or one-time purchase?

RestorationEssentials sells both, and the right shape depends on how many guides you want in one marque. One-time: every guide is a single purchase at $29.95, the PDF is yours forever as the period-correct record for that build, and there is no recurring charge. Per-marque subscription: $19.95 / mo or $199 / yr, billed through Stripe, and every new guide in the same manufacturer family ships into your inbox the day we release it. The tradeoff is straightforward — a one-time purchase keeps you that one build's record with zero future billing, while a subscription spreads the cost across every new guide in the marque and keeps billing monthly or yearly until you cancel it. Cancellation is managed in the Stripe billing portal — the same path surfaced on the marque-hub subscribe cards and the /pricing page — so there is no support ticket required to stop a subscription.
