GM A-body survivor, Rocket 455 W-45, Hurst/Olds marketing-package peak — documented properly.

1968–1970 · W-45 + Hurst/Olds marketing-package peak
Marque descriptor live

The 1968–1970 W-45 W-code sales-code window opens the marketing-package muscle peak on the GM A-body 112-inch-wheelbase Cutlass shell with the Rocket 455 cu in W-code V8 — Oldsmobile's marque anchor. The 1964-onward 4-4-2 fitment (4-barrel carburetor / 4-on-the-floor transmission / dual exhaust) runs alongside the W-45 window as a hardware specification distinct from the 442 trim naming that followed a year later. The 1968-onward Hurst/Olds marketing package layers on top of the W-45 / 442 / Cutlass base — first-year silver-and-gold in 1968, 1969-only white-and-gold Holiday, and the 1970-only black-and-gold W-45 / 442 closure — closing the muscle peak.
