The 1964-onward GTO launches Pontiac's muscle-car track on the Tempest / LeMans A-body chassis — Pontiac's answer to the Chevelle SS, Mustang Mach 1, and Charger R/T era. The 1969-only Judge carries the 42Y RPO (Ram Air III standard, C-stripe, ram-air hood), and the 1969-onward Trans Am emerges on the F-body Firebird sister chassis. The deal that defined a generation.
